Want to learn more?

Let us answer your questions…

PLYTIME Learning has introduced a brand new concept in online learning called FOCUS Tutoring.  It’s puts your child at its heart and is designed to be more effective and affordable than the alternatives.

It includes:

  • 1-to-1 online tutoring with your dedicated tutor – don’t worry we’ll match you to one of our approved, DBS checked tutors, at a time that easily fits into  your schedule.

Plus

  • We know everyone is different so all the questions, covering the curriculum, are tailored to your child’s ability level and there is 24×7 access to the challenges so they can practice at a time that suits them.
  • A review facility to let them see all their answered questions and encourage them to learn independently
  • Help videos, with each question, that cover the entire curriculum and explain more fully how to tackle a specific type of question
  • Real time performance tracking so that you can monitor your child’s improvements

We’re here to help your child to be their BEST

The aim of the project between PLYTIME Learning and Manchester Metropolitan University is to understand the impact of the length and frequency of tutoring sessions on a child’s maths performance.

All parents/guardians will be required to complete an initial questionnaire and the child will take a 20 minute maths assessment.

Participants will be split into 3 different groups.

  • Group A will subscribe to PLYTIME Learning*.  Your child will undertake maths challenges and be supported with 45 minutes of 1-to-1 online  tutoring each week , split into 3 x 15 minutes sessions. At the end of the project your child will receive a £20 completion bonus**
  • Group B will subscribe to PLYTIME Learning*. Your child will undertake maths challenges and be supported with 45 minutes of  1-to-1 online  tutoring in 1 session each week. At the end of the project your child will receive a £20 completion bonus*
  • Group C will not subscribe to PLYTIME Learning and will have no tutoring during the first 7 weeks but will have the option to subscribe and have equivalent access to the tutoring after completion of the project. At the end of the project, your child will receive a £10 completion bonus*

At the end of the project all parents/guardians will be required to complete a follow-up questionnaire and the child will take another 20 minute maths assessment.

*To ensure that the research results are as accurate as possible, Groups A and B will pay a small upfront fee of £29 to encourage commitment and attendance at the tutoring sessions.  You will be fully refunded on completion of the research together with a £20 bonus for your child

**subject to the terms and conditions

PLYTIME is really flexible – you choose the day and time that you’d like your Focus 15® tutoring sessions – to fit into your schedule – and we will  match you with one of our approved PLYTIME Tutors .

Focus 15® tutoring sessions take place online in our tailor-made interactive learning space.

Our DBS approved tutors access the student’s detailed performance data so they know exactly where to focus their support.  They also have a white board to help explain any areas of difficulty and the capability to focus practice on the areas needed most, before their next session.

There are a limited number of places available on the project and the sooner you sign up the more likely you are to guarantee a place – and help your child benefit from taking part.
